Hello fellow shamans!
I'd like to get an idea about what specs people are or plan to be. I'm new here, so I don't know if we have a plan, or not.
I've been resto ever since 60, and I like playing this style. But, I want to be a team player first, and I'd be willing to respec into a role that we need.
I know Icedreads is our primo resto guy, but that's about it. What are everyone else's plans?

I'd say resto is just fine, Stephen. You and Icedreads are our only active shamans, and I'd love it if you were both resto. However, I'm not one to dictate how you spec because I don't pay your subscription fee.

Sweet. I had you in mind, that's why I said active shamans. As for WotLK, I heard it was November, but don't hold your breath.

Thanks for the input. If the boss prefers resto, I'll stay that way. I appreciate your view that I pay the subscription, yadda yadda yadda... I like to play unselfishly, so I'm open to suggestions.
It looks like if I stay resto, I'll be an asset to our Kara group that doesn't have Icedreads in it. As we progress, our priorities may change to favor a Wrath of Air totem or Unleashed Rage, so keep me appraised.
Also, I realize I'm a latecomer to the guild, and I don't want to interfere in established members' raid spots, even if they are less active. I'm for anything that ensures an absolute minimum of drama, and maximum of camaraderie.

I greatly appreciate your outlook. Trust me, drama isn't tolerated here, and camaraderie is encouraged. I somehow doubt you'll have to worry about encroaching on anyone's raid spot for a long time to come as long as you stay resto.

Since Hukaah didn't mention it ...I will. We don't have any "established members' raid spots". We are just now getting to the point where we have healers and tanks playing on a regular basis (and we still need to pug a few just to get the Kara runs in). Also, we have so many dps that we try to rotate people in so everyone gets experience, badges, and gear.

This is pretty much my outlook too. While i'd prefer to rock some face as enhancement, if we dont have the healers for it, all the dps in the world wouldnt matter. Also, not to brag, but being a T5 veteran healer on other servers, I'd have no problem being a healer until someone else gets the experience they need for the job.
