Down with Gruuls!

I wanted to congratulate all those who attended the epic downing of a major baddie!

I believe I have all the names of those who came- Kimbo, Hecticx, Blue, Killerbunny, Minya, Blacknd, Kimzor!! I believe I got everyone, if not please tell me so I can update.

Congratulations, guys. I'm glad you all got to do something in lieu of Karazhan last night. I'm sorry I wasn't there with you, or at least online for moral support; I was sick in bed.

Well, the basic run down was we had 3 guilds pull together- they asked for AtP in particular !!!

For the most part we wiped a few times and this run was a first for many of the members of AtP and a scattered few from the other guilds. Our newer members such as Blue did particularily well in heals! Also Blacknd was pulled in halfway through our run and he caught up in highest dps and I think he placed 8th? I can't remember exactly. Killerbunny and Kimzor tanked one of the mob bosses from the first battle and took him down quick! ( some heals to back them too) I was running around playing raid healer and spent most of my time keeping our Kimbo up and another tank. Kimbo did good- though he denies it XD- thats our teddy bear! Killerbunny got the first epic drop replacing his shoulders for T4!!!
When we reached Gruul we were ready for the battle. About 15 minutes of explaining the fight and assignments we were ready! Our first attempt was a wipe, unfortunatly our MT died and half the group died from falling rocks. We gathered again afterwards for another shot. The battle started and when we got Gruul down to 50% it was about the 7th growth by then, we were doing really well this time. Then...of course...I died from that blast spell and standing too close to people. lol! Blue did a battle rez on me, but what made it funny was that he rezzed me under the falling rocks and we cracked up about that. Best moment during the fight! So I watched as the rest of the group took Gruul down from 15% (after I died). The rewards for killing Gruul was a healer's dream! Blue and I both rcvd T4 pants and Blue got an extra necklace (purple lvl)!!! We made out good!

Awesome! Leslie told me that several of our AtPers got some nice loot, but I just wanted to know exactly how nice. Those T4 pants will last you until you get your Whitemend crafted, easily.

EDIT: Since Gruul is a raid boss, I'm going to move this thread to the PvE board. Partly because it's talk about a PvE raid boss... and partly because the PvE board is lonely.

I basically forgot all about raiding this weekend. I now feel stupid because I missed out on Gruul.

So, bad bottom line, I fucked up. Good bottom line, I was letting other healers get in on raiding content.
