I was wondering about all of our current characters who run kara every weekend. Maybe a couple times a month we could take a stab at bgs for tokens and honor since most of us do not have time to run long dungeons during the week. Some of the PVP rewards are great for the dungeons- such as the insignia of the horde and the boots/cuffs/ weapons- etc. The weekdays may be good opportunity to gain tokens. Plus we have a few new people in the guild who have asked about PVP and how often we do it.

I am always game for some BG runs. You would be surprised how much even a small team can affect a bg. Not long ago me, Halzion and a holy pally buddy of ours farmed AV wins like it wasn't a big deal. We would just rush to First Aid Station and take it right at the beginning, pally tanked npcs while me and Halzion took them out. We would maybe get a few allys trying to defend but they were afk half the time. LOL!
We don't have to farm AV though, I know that can get boring. We could start off just doing the daily and then maybe vote and see what we want to run after. If there is enough interest setting something up during the day on a weekend would be nice too so we could take advantage of whatever bg weekend it is. I been doing the bg dailys on week nights recently though so I will start asking in guild chat if anyone wants to join me.

Granted, while we are more PvE focused right now, I would have absolutely no qualms with doing some organized BGing, especially since season 4 is right around the corner. I need to start saving up for the season 2 gear, which will be available for honor.

when i get reboot up to 70, ill farm bg's. im finding that there isnt much instance loot to gear out a shammy properly, so ill probably be relying on bg gear until blizz decides to let enhance shammies wear furry warrior plate.

Now if you guys start BG'n how am I ever going to win if I have this 'do not kill ATP members' policy. I could see it know, big love fest, Hek dancing with ATP at the Stormpike GY. Woot.

I could see it know, big love fest, Hek dancing with ATP at the Stormpike GY. Woot. Well bro, the way I see it, that policy is null and void in BGs, Arenas, and maximum attack range in World PvP objectives, like Halaa. I certainly wouldn't expect you to show us any leniency if we're BGing against each other, or queued up in the arena against each other. I'd /wave, /salute, but then you'd be DoTted up and running in circles just like any other person on the Alliance.

Nifty thing about hunters is that, if done right, there is almost always an arrow in the air against a rogue. So if you Cloak out of my shots, you're stealth is instantly broken with a new dot or something. Evasion? Let's see you evade a bomb trap or Volley of death...

So if you Cloak out of my shots, you're stealth is instantly broken with a new dot or something. Evasion? Let's see you evade a bomb trap or Volley of death... Let me dismantle that to make hunters feel sad again.... "always an arrow in the air against a rogue" if we vanish, that arrow in the air "hits" us, but does no damage and does not remove stealth "So if you Cloak out of my shots, you're stealth is instantly broken' I can't tell uf you mean vanish or cloak of shadows, but cloak doesnt cause stealth, it removes all negatve magic debuff,s and can be used inside or out of stealth (without breaking stealth) so i can vanish with serpent sting on...and instantly cloak of shadows to remove the DoT before the next tick takes me out of stealth. "Evasion? Let's see you evade a bomb trap or Volley of death..." Cloak of shadows = resist all traps 90% of the time. and volley of death cause its arcane damage. A rogue played properly has a counter against every single class. I will say the only true anti rogue ability that hunters have is VERY QUICKLY flaring where a rogue vanishes.....thats the best bet to screw the rogue over.....but even then I'm prep build and can re-vanish before your flare is off cooldown.

A properly played rogue will lose against a properly played warrior, assuming similar gear of course, pretty much every time.

Please forgive me, but I'm not too familiar with warrior PvP strategies or mechanics. I thought a decent, smart rogue could beat a warrior by bleeding/kiting him. How does a warrior counter that?

By taking a half step back and intercepting.
Edit: A rogue doing that is called 5-8 kiting. By staying out of the 5 yard range (out of melee range) and inside the 8 yard range (minimum range for intercept) he can in theory avoid the warrior completely and eventually restealth.
So all a warrior has to do is guess where the rogue is going to move next to stay in the 5-8 and then move opposite of the rogue. If the problem is that the warrior has crippling poison on him and the rogue isn't slowed at all, then all the warrior has to do is use piercing howl to slow the rogue down since it has a 10 yard range. The piercing howl also serves to keep the rogue in combat which prevents him from restealthing unless he blows his vanish.
Between the Piercing Howl or just guessing which way to move to get the intercept in the warrior shouldn't be 5-8 kited for very long.
In a toe to toe fight, a warrior absolutely blows a rogue out of the water.
