Hey guys, I am wanting to implement a few hard set guild rules and put them in writing, because as of right now we really don't have any. Luckily this has not caused any serious problems yet, but I would like to have some sort of baseline in place to act as a safeguard as we grow. I will publish these rules and guidelines when they are finalized, but for now, I would like to open the board for discussion. Please post here with what rules you would like to see in place, and if possible, explain why you would want it as a hard set rule.

With the guild pushing into Kara you might want to let people know how loot is decided and how the raid is selected. Included with that you may want to make some general rules for raiding. Just a few examples off the top of my head:
- if you need to go afk in a raid please notify the raid leader before doing so - try to be online ~15mins before the raid to ensure you have enough time to get prepared - make sure to have threat meter and deadly boss mods or any other req'd mods u can think of

Rule #1: Don't be a dick. Simple, but effective.

Rule #2: If you are upset about loot rules or someone wiping the raid, please see Rule #1. Hear hear. I also think the 2-week probation is a great idea, with promotions over and above that based on performance and officer recommendations. And what is this "sober" you keep referring to? I am puzzled...

Ok, on a serious note....I totally agree with everyones suggestions for Kara and they should apply to any instance / raid - from SM to Gruuls. Also, in light of recent events, I think at some point we will have to post rules of conduct for people in vent. And yes, I'm aware that applies to me as well.
P.S. Oh and Patrick...... you started it......you said everyone should have a pet beaver!!!!!

Oh I forgot - we do have a list of the bank rules and the responsibilties of Lechers and Deviants on the first page of our website. Its located in the center of the page alittle over half way down. I think we could benefit from any feedback - positive or negitative regarding those as well......

I remember the Kids in the Hall - but beaver patroling - well I think if say any more, you, Patrick, will decide to do something about me and I can't let that happen.

so far as to the rules issue - so far I have - 1) respect the party leader - wether it is an officer of our guild or someone from another guild entirely. Its not about "if they deserve it" its about how our behavior reflects on us and our reputation as a guild. 2) Be on time and prepaired - if you know the instance is scheduled for 6:30. Don't wait until 6:35 to buy arrows, repair your gear, empty your bags, get some food or grab a drink. 3) Regarding drops - items should go to the class it is made to benefit the most. This should apply to guests as well as guild members. a) If there is more than one party member of that class or if more than one class benefits - then it should go to the person who would benefit (this also means main over offspec ) the most from the upgrade. b) If it would benefit more than one person but the upgrade is the same then they - and only they should roll on that item. c)If an item drops that doesn't directly benefit a party member as an upgrade or a profession skill then all party members are allowed to roll for that item.
feedback... ??
